1940 | 1950 Childhood and my First Musical Experiences

• February 20, 1940 - Born in Breslau, Germany (today Wroclaw, Poland) to Margarethe (née Jaross) and Heribert Ringmann
• January 31, 1946 - Liberated an orphan by foster mother, Wallydore Eschenbach (née Jaross), from refugee camp in Mecklenburg (then East Germany) sick with typhoid fever and settled in Wismar (then East Germany) with her
• January 1947 - First piano lessons with his foster mother
• Spring 1948 - Moved with foster mother to Neustadt in Holstein, Germany and joins foster father, Wolfram Eschenbach
